About Me and Us...

I am a retired teacher who has been married for 47 years. My husband and I retired in 2000 and pursued an interesting new lifestyle. We moved to our 40' boat, left our dock by May 1st, and cruised in the waters of Washington, Canada, and four times in Alaskan waters until we return to the dock on Oct. 1st. My earlier posts document our travels. I like to think that they make interesting reading. We then moved back to our 37' motorhome and hit the road. We visited family and friends in Washington, Oregon and Idaho before heading for the warmer weather in Yuma, Arizona. We continued this lifestyle for 8 years, but we have purchased a small home in Yuma, AZ and have our boat, "Last Class", up for sale. Now we plan to cruise in our motorhome during the summer months and return to Yuma for the warm winter weather. You may wonder why our blog's name is Our Last Class. Well, we were teachers, and our boat has taught us many lessons. We figure that learning is a never ending process, so as we learn something new everyday, we feel that we are still attending Our Last Class. View my complete profile
